Weekly Update November 25th

THIS WEEK:

Nov. 27-29 – No School - Thanksgiving Break. 
 
 
Short week!   We will be doing a variety of Thanksgiving themed activities in math and language arts along with celebrating the end of our novel study of Charlotte's Web.  Mrs. Westley and Mrs. Scruby's classes will celebrate the end of thier study of author Chris VanAllsburg.  
 
A few special notes...

Mrs. Clements' Language Arts:
  • There is no reading log this week, however students should still read 20 minutes every night. 
  • Spelling - No list this week.  We will be working with a variety of Thankgiving themed words in class.
  • Check our www.spellingcity.com/sleclements to practice this week's word list. We are on THANKSGIVING WORDS.
Writing Workshop - Sudents will be creating a writing folder for their pieces, examining a list of NO EXCUSES words, and creating their Writer's Notebook.

Mrs. Clements Math:
  • We will continue with MULTIPLICATION and DIVISION.
  • NO Review Sheets this week.
  • It is VERY important that they have memorized their multiplication facts. Please practice at home with flash cards or online at

Weekly Update - Novemeber 18

THIS WEEK:

Nov. 18-22 – Anti-Bully Week
Nov. 20 – Science / Social Studies Switch
Nov. 21 – Thanksgiving Lunch
Nov. 21 – Community Meeting on A.L.I.C.E. training 7pm @ KHS
Nov. 27-29 – No School - Thanksgiving Break.

  • We will finish reading the book Charlotte's Web this week.
  • Read 20 minutes every night. Reading Log due on Wednesday 11/20.
  • Spelling - This will be week on LIST 12 - COMPOUND WORDS
  • Check our www.spellingcity.com/sleclements to practice this week's word list. We are on WEEK 12.

- November 11th - Veteran's Day - We will be adding stars to our school Honor Wall

Weekly Update

THIS WEEK:
- NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 5th
- Picture Retakes will be on November 7th. Please let me know if you need a picture form.

Mrs. Clements Language Arts:
We will continue reading the book Charlotte's Web this week. Read 20 minutes every night.
Book Report due Monday 11/4.
Reading Log due on Wednesday 11/6.
Spelling - This will be week on LIST 10.
Check our www.spellingcity.com/sleclements to practice this week's word list. We are on WEEK 10.
Students shoudl have the book they are reading for their book reports with them every day. The will be reading in class and also at home for their reading logs. BOOK REPORTS DUE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH.
